Haiku Tuesday: Post Holiday Rainy Drive

I took an impromptu holiday break. Not that there was much to break from; I've only been doing a haiku once a week. Things got crazy at my house, but it was lots of fun. When you don't have internet at home, a major change of routine makes it difficult to keep things steady. Though I'm not complaining at all. I had a wonderful Christmas this year. My whole family came to my house.

I spent most of today driving in the rain. I had a 6 hour trip from the southeastern part of the state to the northwestern.  Then last week, I went on a camping trip with my sister, and there was rain. So naturally, the haiku is about rain.

Windshield streaks blur red
and yellow highway lights as
gray skies turn to black
